Study: 51% of garden stores sell plants bee killing pesticides

WCSH, ME -A study done by two environmental groups shows that 18 states tested sell plants covered in bee-killing pesticides. The Organic Consumers Association and Friends of the Earth teamed up on the study. It shows that 51% of garden plant samples purchased from top garden retailers contain neonicotinoid, known to be harmful to bees - affecting their ability to pollinate. One major concern is that there's no way to tell the plant you're buying has the pesticide, unless you ask, and some plants labeled "bee friendly" are actually not.
